Yesler Swamp By Canoe

Everyone is invited to join Friends of Yesler Swamp canoe adventure to the waters of beautiful Yesler Swamp. The date is  Sunday September 18, 2011  1 – 3pm. The canoe trip will be led by noted artist-canoeist Scott Schuldt.

Join us for an update on the design for the Yesler Swamp Trail. Latest proposed plans will be presented by our design team – Chuck Warsinski, Principal, SBA Landscape Architects; Diane Brewster, Professional Wetlands Scientist; and Laura Davis, Project Landscape Architect. The Community Meeting is your chance to ask questions of our team and share your ideas for the Yesler Swamp Trail. Spanish translation will be available upon email request to

 Saturday September 10, 2011 10 to  noon

 Join Friends of Yesler Swamp on Saturday morning to help dig out invasive yellow flag iris. We will provide the tools, expert advice on digging out these pretty pests, and lots of good company!

This is the first of our regular 2nd Saturday Work Parties. Please join us to help remove invasive plants, spread chips on the trail, and plant willows and other native plants.

Community support will restore and preserve beautiful Yesler Swamp for all to enjoy!
